Known for her six-hitting ability, opening batter Rebecca Burns has developed a reputation as one of the most destructive batters in New Zealand women's domestic cricket.
A key component of the ever-successful Wellington Blaze outfit, Burns has helped her hometown side lift six domestic T20 titles, including three out of the last five Dream11 Super Smash titles, as well as the 2022/23 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield - Wellington's first since the 2003/04 season.
Burns' ability to lift the run-rate from ball one was called upon by head coach Ben Sawyer during the WHITE FERNS 2022 home series against Bangladesh. She made her international debut in the second match of the series in Queenstown and also featured in the third T20I, as the WHITE FERNS clinched the series 3-0.
