Cricket Tasmania’s General Manager of High Performance, Simon Insley, has been announced as the new BLACKCAPS Performance Manager, replacing Mike Sandle. Insley has previous experience with the BLACKCAPS and NZC High Performance teams - as an assistant manager at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England, as well as managing NZ A for their 2018 Tour of the UAE. He has also previously filled High Performance and support staff roles with Auckland Cricket

A memorial service to celebrate the life of international umpire Fred Goodall will be held at the Cello Basin Reserve on Friday, May 13 at 2pm. One of the New Zealand’s best-known umpires, Fred passed away in October last year and, because of the Covid-19 restrictions of the time, only a small, private service was possible. The upcoming memorial service will be live streamed and recorded.
