The Ford Trophy has been providing a summer entertainment tradition for more than five decades, for you to enjoy with family and friends. It's perfect for all ages to soak up the competitive atmosphere of top-level cricket.
Ford Trophy games are played at many of New Zealand's favourite, most picturesque cricket venues, like Hagley Oval, Seddon Park, the Cello Basin Reserve, University of Otago Oval, Kennards Hire Community Oval at Eden Park, and Pukekura Park where you can see players and action up close.
The Ford Trophy also takes our top stars of the game beyond the big cities, to supporters right across New Zealand - from Invercargill to Whangārei.
The six Major Association teams - Northern Districts, the Auckland Aces, Central Stags, Wellington Firebirds, Canterbury and Otago Volts - compete across 10 rounds, then a 2v3 playoff which is called The Ford Trophy Elimination Final.
It all builds up to the annual winner-takes-all Ford Trophy Grand Final.
Last season's Grand Final was won by Canterbury, who defeated the Auckland Aces for the honour.
