Stead reappointed for two more years

Gary Stead will remain Head Coach of the BLACKCAPS until mid-2025. First appointed for a two-year term in late 2018, Stead had his contract renewed in 2020 until the end of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in India, and will now stay on until the conclusion of the current World Test Championship cycle, in June 2025.

Jurgensen to take up Wellington men’s job post ODI World Cup

Shane Jurgensen will step down as BLACKCAPS bowling coach following the ICC Cricket World Cup in October-November, to take up the role of Wellington Firebirds head coach.   Jurgensen will finish as the team’s longest serving coach with a combined ten years in the position after returning for his second stint in 2016
