Molly Penfold

A tall, strong pace bowler, Molly Penfold grew up in New Zealand and represented both Auckland and New Zealand at age group level, catching the attention of her competitors and coaches through her ability to dominate the opposition’s top order with her power and pace.

One of the fastest bowlers in New Zealand women’s cricket, Penfold was selected in her first WHITE FERNS squad for the winter tour of England in 2021, debuting in the third ODI at Leicester and claiming figures of 2-42 as the WHITE FERNS claimed a three-wicket win.  

Penfold was named as a travelling reserve for the ICC Women's World Cup in New Zealand and was offered her first New Zealand central contract for the 2022/23 season.

She made her T20 debut in Antigua against the West Indies in September 2022 and was selected in the WHITE FERNS squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa where she made her World Cup debut against Bangladesh at Newlands.
