BLACKCAPS batter Bevon Jacobs has been ruled out of the second KFC T20I against South Africa with a left knee injury.
Jacobs left the ground on Sunday night during the first T20I after falling on his left knee while fielding. Subsequent scans revealed bone bruising on the side of his knee.
Further assessment is required to determine Jacobs’ return-to-play timeline. Katene Clarke will join the squad in Hamilton tomorrow as cover.
The squad travelled to Hamilton today ahead of tomorrow’s T20I double-header, where the WHITE FERNS will take on the Proteas women at 2.45pm followed by the BLACKCAPS and the Proteas men at 7.15pm.
