All the Major Associations have unveiled their squads this morning (scroll down), with a few changes from the opening encounters.

The Firebirds will miss the services of senior allrounder Logan van Beek who has a foot injury, but it's created a first-time opportunity for NZU19 rep Ryan Tsourgas to add to a big week - he turned 20 just yesterday.

Uncapped Sam Mycock meanwhile makes way for the return of top order batter Nick Greenwood, after having run the drinks in New Plymouth.

Central has brought in spinning allrounder Angus Schaw following Blair Tickner's BLACKCAPS call-up, and their Northern opponents have Tim Seifert back for the New Plymouth match.

It's a special round for the Auckland Aces and Otago Volts teams in Auckland as they remember the late Ross Dykes.

Dykes was one of the great servants of New Zealand cricket, initially as a wicketkeeper batter for Auckland, and later as a decade-long Chief Executive of Otago Cricket, a New Zealand selector, and an NZC match referee.

Dykes passed away in 2020 and his impact on the game and the connections he built between the two associations continue to be celebrated.

The Aces currently hold the memorial trophy that goes on the line for the first one-day match between the two teams each season.
