Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl in the Test match at McLean Park in Napier while the BLACKCAPS have opted to go play four seamers in their starting XI.
Sam Wells has been named 12th man while Kruger van Wky, who is currently still with the team, will be released to play for the Central Stags in Ford Trophy match on Sunday 29 January.
