Women’s National Development Tournament 2005 Round 1 & 2

Three half-centuries provide the highlight of the day on Round 2 of the Women’s Development Tournament at Christchurch’s Ilam Playing Fields.

Katie Perkins, fresh from a successful NZCT Secondary Schoolgirls tournament with Westlake Girls, provided Auckland with a solid start with her contribution of 53 in their match against Central Districts.

Central's reply and eventual victory was based around an equally impressive batting display by Kelly Tunnicliffe with 55 not out.

The highlight of Northern Districts’ victory over Otago was a five-wicket haul from experienced campaigner Maree Hannay.

Canterbury captain and White Ferns squad member Amy Satterthwaite scored 58 to steer her side to victory over Wellington.
