Suzie Bates, Sara McGlashan, Morna Nielsen, Rachel Priest and Sophie Devine will all feature at the inaugural finals day of the Kia Super League after their teams finished in the top three of the KSL group stages.
The Southern Vipers featuring Bates, McGlashan and Nielsen finished top of the group and therefore get a bye straight to the final. The Western Storm featuring Rachel Priest will meet the Loughborough Lightning featuring Sophie Devine in the semi-final with the winner going on to meet The Southern Vipers in the afternoon final.
Finals day is 21st August at The County Ground, Chelmsford.
The group stage of the first Kia Super League is now complete with the Southern Vipers topping the table with 11 points with four wins from their five matches but also picking up three bonus points. The Western Storm finished second also winning four of their five matches but only picked up one bonus point finishing with nine points. The Loughborough Lightning won three of their five matches finishing with 8 points and finishing third.
The Surrey Stars featuring Lea Tahuhu finished fourth having only won two of their five matches and Amy Sattherthwaite's Lancashire Thunder unfortunately finished bottom of the group having only one of their group matches.
There was a great deal of success for the WHITE FERNS in the group stages.
Suzie Bates took seven wickets for 87 @12.42 and also scored 180 runs at an average of 45 with a high score of 45* meaning she was the third highest run scorer in the group stages.
Sara McGlashan made 113 runs at an average of 37.66 with a high score of 54*.
Morna Nielsen took five wickets for 85
Rachel Priest made 72 runs with a high score of 50.
Sophie Devine took 5 wickets for 109 and made 71 runs with a high score of 52.
Suzie Bates said "It is nice getting into the Finals weekend knowing we have only one game. If you go straight through to the final like we have you will be considered the favourite but Twenty20 cricket can take games away from you very quickly. It should be an exciting day"
