With just one week to go until the start of the Kia Super League, some of the WHITE FERNS taking part in the competition attended a glittering launch of the event in Manchester.
During the evening, guests (including WHITE FERNS Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine, Rachel Priest and Amy Satterthwaite) were treated to an exclusive live performance of the new England women's cricket team anthem "Heroes" sung by critically acclaimed soprano and official Kia Super League ambassador, Laura Wright.
Earlier on in the day, the players were shown on BBC breakfast television playing cricket with the presenters outside the BBC's media city studios in Manchester.
Speaking after the launch Devine told NZC, "It was a fantastic seeing a mixture of the English players alongside the other internationals and kicking off what's going to be a great tournament.
"The way the KSL has been created makes every team evenly matched, meaning every game is going to be really competitive and a real spectacle for the crowd.
"My team - the Loughborough Lightning, are looking very good in warm up.
"The group has been been working hard for about five weeks and with the internationals joining in I hope it's like the final pieces of the puzzle."
She added "the facilities here are incredible and I'm extremely fortunate to be playing in this inaugural competition for such a great team."
