SUBJECT: The changes to the domestic Twenty20 competition, the Georgie Pie Super Smash
New Zealand Cricket and the domestic teams have done a lot of work over the winter to deliver more entertainment around our domestic Twenty20 competition.

We think the changes we've made mean the Georgie Pie Super Smash offers New Zealanders entertainment and value like never before.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Cheap ticket prices for the whole family – in most cases we've cut ticket prices in half, making this year’s competition real value for money
- The weekend events and the individual matches will have a real festival vibe, with a mix of live entertainment and fun – much like the sevens and nines, something we think everyone will enjoy
- At most games you can experience:
- Stilt Walkers
- Face painters
- A broader beverage offering
- A mix of food (but remember you can bring your own food into cricket games – just check with the venue as to exactly what you can bring in)
- Brass instrument players - two of the best in the business
- You might spot some familiar comedians roaming the crowd too, getting right behind their team - keep an eye out
- Trade Road – an area of stalls for people to wander through, interact with and enjoy gifts and giveaways.
- Treasure hunts
- Prizes for Best Costume – that’s right, have some fun and you could win cool prizes
- Limbo competitions
- We will help you celebrate players reaching milestones during the game with special activities
- Mascot duels, and the 'return of the duck' for television viewers
- Bigger and better supervised Kids Zones
- Access to the players at various times around the grounds for photos, autographs or just to say "Hi"
- Activity and giveaways from our sponsors
- A really slick big screen production which means you will see almost everything at the ground that you would normally see while on the couch at home
- Don’t worry, we are still bringing you some of the best cricket in the world too – the standard of play in our Twenty20 competition is rated highly by all the overseas players that come over to our shores
- And if you can’t get to a game at a venue near you – SKY Sport are taking live coverage of 27 of the 33 games at really good times for watching at home, plus Radio Sport will have live commentary of all the games played
- Oh and for many of you who get to a game, you will have earned yourself a free Georgie Pie voucher
Conclusion
We think this right here is a game changer. A festival of fans, and a colourful celebration of cricket.
This is the Georgie Pie Super Smash. It's a whole newball game.
