Tiffen secures second victory

A captain’s knock of 66 by Haidee Tiffen set up a five-wicket win over India in the second One-Day International at Lincoln’s Bert Sutcliffe Oval.

Anna Dodd took two wickets for 19 runs as in an economical 10-overs spell as the visitors were held to 157 for seven in their 50 overs.

The home team overcame the loss of Rebecca Rolls for 12 as Tiffen made her half-century in quick time, facing 61 balls before falling to a stumping from Karuna Jain.

Maria Fahey (25) and Sara McGlashan (24) were the other major contributors as the White Ferns cruised home within 29 overs.

The White Ferns can complete a series victory with a third consecutive win at Lincoln’s Bert Sutcliffe Oval on Thursday (March 9).
