New Zealand Cricket today announced that Scott Styris has a partial stress fracture to his lumbar spine will not available for the BLACKCAPS tour of Bangladesh.
Medical staff said that Styris will be on a progressive strengthening and loading programme for six to eight weeks before starting a bowling plan in mid October.
“I was looking forward to the Bangladesh tour and am disappointed to unavailable,” said Styris.
“I’m aiming to be ready for action by the start of the Indian series - of course this decision will be made in along with the New Zealand Cricket medical team and our specialist Rob Campbell.”
The BLACKCAPS leave for Bangladesh at the end of the month with the schedule and squad announced later today.
