Stats from White Ferns ODI series

Although England won the series very comfortably three matches to nil, the White Ferns still retain an overall advantage of thirty one wins to twenty six with one match tied.

Charlotte Edwards scored the second highest innings against New Zealand when scoring 137 not out in the second match.   Had the innings not been limited to 26 overs she would probably have well passed Belinda Clark's record score of 142 not out for Australia back in the 1996-97 season.

Edwards reached her century in seventy balls which easily beat Australian Karen Rolton's previous fastest against the White Ferns of 98 balls. On the way to her century she also scored the fastest half-century against New Zealand, reaching it in thirty six balls.

In the process of scoring these runs Edwards also became the first English player to reach one thousand runs against New Zealand. She is the fifth player to achieve this feat with Belinda Clark and Karen Rolton both passing two thousand runs for Australia.

Sarah Taylor went on the score the fifth century for England against New Zealand in the third ODI. Her hundred came up in 105 balls, with only Edwards' century two days earlier being faster for England.

Taylor and Lydia Greenway added 201 for England's third wicket which is the first double century partnership against the White Ferns.  The previous best was a second wicket stand of 194 between Belinda Clark and Karen Rolton.

Amy Satterthwaite was the best of the White Ferns batters scoring two half-centuries and becoming the eleventh White Fern to reach one thousand ODI runs during the third match.

Anna Peterson became White Fern number 125 when she made her debut in the first match, scoring  a useful thirty three in her first innings.

Katie Perkins, who had debuted in Australia earlier in the year, scored her first half-century at this level when scoring fifty one in the third ODI.

The White Ferns bowlers struggled to contain the experienced English batters throughout the series with Lucy Doolan coming in for particular attention going for 137 off her eighteen overs in the three matches. This included conceding 65 in the last match, the most expensive bowling analysis for the White Ferns against England.
