Sarwan prominent in Windies win

Ramnaresh Sarwan's 91 set the path for the West Indies to record a substantial victory over Bangladesh in the hosts' penultimate ICC World Cup 2007 match.

Sarwan helped his side overcome the loss of three early wickets to push them from 67 for three to 230 for five in Barbados.

The Guyanese right-hander fell nine short of a century, but his 90-ball innings set up a solid target.

Corey Collymore (two for 11) and Daren Powell (three for 38) then led the attack to remove Bangladesh for 131 in the 44th over of their reply.

Outgoing captain Brian Lara said: "To win today was definitely something positive for West Indies cricket. It is good to see the crowd still coming out, they always support West Indies cricket and we want this to continue for many years."

Lara plays his final ODI for the side against England on Sunday (NZ time).
