A New Zealander is among the sea of Australians and other imports in the 2016 WBBL All*Stars team of the tournament, as voted by the players themselves and announced this week by the Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA).
WHITE FERNS allrounder Sara McGlashan played a starring role in getting the Sydney Sixers into the inaugural WBBL Final at the MCG.
The All*Star teams are voted on by all contracted Cricket Australia, State, BBL, WBBL and Rookie players across the Tasman. The teams are voted on in batting order, made up of the best performed male and female players in each form of the game, as judged by their peers. Players cannot vote for members of their own team.

All three games at Bay Oval (10.30am on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday) are free entry.
New Zealand Cricket CEO David White noted that it’s a fantastic opportunity for local cricket lovers to see two of the top three teams in the world, the Southern Stars and WHITE FERNS ranked one and three respectively in the official ICC world rankings. Now they will go head to head as the WHITE FERNS look to rearrange the pecking order after a strong 12 months.
“They are two very exciting and talented teams to watch," Mr White said, "and the number of top WHITE FERNS who were involved in the WBBL have had an opportunity to scout their imminent opposition in the process.”
WBBL Player of the Tournament Meg Lanning is captain of the Australian team that will clash with Suzie Bates’s WHITE FERNS, beginning this weekend.
