Former BLACKCAP Rob Nicol has retired from all cricket following a 17-year first-class career.
Nicol, a top order batsman and off-spin bowler, represented the BLACKCAPS in all three formats, playing two Tests, 22 ODIs and 21 T20Is between 2010 and 2013.

In 2011 Nicol became the second BLACKCAP, after Martin Guptill, to score an ODI century on debut when he made an unbeaten 108* against Zimbabwe in Harare.
That was one of two international centuries to Nicol’s name, with the other also coming against Zimbabwe in a career best 146.
Outgoing BLACKCAPS Coach Mike Hesson honoured the contribution Nicol has made to the game in New Zealand.
“Rob has been a fantastic servant to the game and been a complete professional throughout his career,” said Hesson.
“He’s given a lot to the game and I wish him all the best with the next chapter of his life.”
Nicol played for Auckland, Canterbury and Otago at domestic level, having also captained each side.
Including a stint at English County side Gloucestershire, Nicol played more than 400 matches, making 13,753 runs and taking 208 wickets.
