Otago Volts players Ian Butler and Aaron Redmond have had mixed fortunes over the last couple of days.
Unfortunately for Ian Butler he will miss the rest of the Friends Provident English Twenty20 with a back injury. With the congested format there is not enough time for Ian to recover and he will return home for rehabilitation.
Volts team mate Aaron Redmond has been called in as Butler's replacement at Gloucestershire and will be part of their set up for the last eight rounds of the competition. Gloucestershire who are guided by former BLACKCAPS coach John Bracewell have had a slow start to competition winning just two of their seven matches in the South Group.
Volts coach Mike Hesson confirmed that Redmond had been doing well in English club cricket in recent weeks and was extremely excited about the opportunity to show his skills at County level.
