Rain ruins Rose Bowl decider

Posted Thursday, February 12, 2009 in International News

Wet weather wiped out the fifth and deciding Rose Bowl one-day match between the White Ferns and Australia without a ball being bowled at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.

The White Ferns won the first two encounters before the Australian Southern Stars struck back twice to level the series.

Australia are the current holders and the draw means they retain the trophy.
