Rain checks Aces progress

State Auckland Aces captain Richard Jones produced his second century of the match but rain halted his team’s follow-up innings at Eden Park Outer Oval.

Jones struck 120 as Auckland made 274 for four before rain intervened for the final time on an interrupted day’s play.

Rob Nicol was unbeaten on 51 as the Aces developed a lead of 364 going into the final day of the match.
