Graeme Smith struck 91 as South Africa booked their place in the the ICC World Cup Super Eight Series with a seven-wicket defeat of Scotland at St Kitts’ Warner Park.

Smith’s knock, containign 13 fours and a six off 65 balls, helepd the Proteas surpass Scotland’s 186 – their highest-ever total at the World Cup.

Veteran Warwickshire all-rounder Dougie Brown top-scored with 45, but Smith and AB de Villiers (62) put on a 134-run opening stand to leave their team-mates with a simple task, which they wrapped up in the 24th over.
