Plunket Shield round three Code of Conduct breach

Posted Monday, November 13, 2017 in Corporate News

Wellington Firebirds paceman Ollie Newton has received a written censure for a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct during the third day of the Plunket Shield match against Northern Districts, played at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

Newton was reported by umpires Brent Bowden and Tony Gillies for a breach of rule 1.3, which involves showing dissent at an umpire’s decision.

He admitted guilt and accepted the censure. It was Newton’s first Code of Conduct offence.
