Wet weather in Dunedin has wiped out the first morning session of Sri Lanka's opening match of their tour, against State Otago Volts at the city's University Oval.
Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat, with play starting at 3.15pm.
The State Championship matches in Christchurch have been abandoned for the day after rain.
