Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl in the first Test against the BLACKCAPS at University Oval in Dunedin.
The wicket looks to be slightly green on top and the conditions are overcast so Pakistan will be hoping to take advantage with their seam heavy line up.
As expected the BLACKCAPS have gone with four specialist bowlers with Shane Bond making his return to Test cricket. Batsmen Peter Fulton and Grant Elliott have been recalled with Daryl Tuffey named as twelfth man.
Pakistan see the return of seamer Mohammad Asif and hand Umar Akmal his first cap in an otherwise predictable team.
