Battle set to re-commence in Wellington and Napier.

Pakistan arrive for two-match ANZ ODI Series

Pakistan have arrived in New Zealand and are preparing for the two-match ANZ ODI Series v BLACKCAPS.

In a warm up match at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Misbah ul-Haq got very used to local conditions, making 107 from 119 balls, while Umar Akmal clobbered 68 from 59 balls.

In reply, Canterbury's Henry Nicholls and Northern Knights Tim Seifert made centuries of their own as the visiting bowlers struggled to contain the youngsters - the President's XI chased down the 317 required for the loss of four wickets, to win by six wickets with four balls to spare.

The ANZ ODI series takes place in Wellington on 31 January and Napier on 3 February - the two teams met in ODIs only last month in the 3-2 series win to the BLACKCAPS, and it will be fascinating to see how the visitors adapt to NZ conditions, a different kettle of fish to the spin-friendly UAE surfaces.

Pakistan named their squad to play in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 - effectively the same group that will play the BLACKCAPS in the ANZ ODI Series. Misbah-ul-Haq leads the side that contains the experienced Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi as well as star performers from the UAE Ahmed Shedzad, Sarfraz Ahmed and Haris Sohail.

An arrival press conference will be held on 30 January, the day before the first ODI.
