BLACKCAPS manager, Dave Currie, advised this evening that Jacob Oram suffered a partial tear of the patella tendon during last night's first Chappell-Hadlee Trophy Series One-Day International against Australia.
It is expected that Jacob will recover in 3-4 weeks, however he will be out for the balance of the Australian series.
Michael Mason has been added to the squad for the second ODI. Ian Butler was not considered because of injury.
The current squad has only been selected for the first two ODI matches. The squad will then be re-selected for the remaining three ODI matches of the National Bank Series.
