NZC applauds Daniel Vettori on Test milestone

New Zealand Cricket has congratulated Daniel Vettori on becoming the most capped New Zealand Test cricketer in today’s match against the West Indies at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.

“On behalf of the family of cricket I want to send my congratulations to Daniel Vettori and would like to take the opportunity to thank him for his dedication to New Zealand Cricket," said Chief Executive David White.

"Becoming New Zealand's most capped Test cricketer is testament to his passion and commitment to the game.

“I know that the whole country will want to join me in recognising and celebrating a remarkable achievement.”

Vettori made his Test debut in Wellington against England in 1997 and in his Test career so far has struck 4486 runs with a highest score of 140 and has taken 359 Test wickets with career best figures of 12-149 for a match.
