NZ A reach tri-series final

New Zealand A have reached the final of the tri-series in Sri Lanka after South Africa A beat the hosts in Colombo overnight.

The result means tonight's match between the New Zealanders and South Africa A is a dress rehearsal of Saturday's final, regardless of the result.

The South Africans maintained their unbeaten run in the tournament overnight with a comfortable four wicket victory. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Sri Lanka made a respectable 234 for nine off their 50 overs.

South Africa A reached their target with relative ease in the 48th over for the loss of six wickets.

While Peter Fulton's team will be pleased they do not need to win tonight, they will be keen to put in a good performance against the South Africans, who must be overwhelming favourites to win the tournament.
