National Women’s Development Tournament 2005: Finals

Canterbury took first place in the 2005 National Women’s Development Tournament after a rain-abbreviated match at Ilam Playing Fields.

Canterbury topped the initial league stage of the tournament and defeated Central Districts by 14 runs in a final shortened to 40 overs per innings.

Play was not possible in the third place play off between Wellington and Auckland. Therefore, the capital side were handed the third place achieved after the round robin stage.

Northern Districts earned fifth place with a 106-run win in their 36-over match against Otago.
