Nathan McCullum rejoined the team this morning after being treated at a local hospital in Chennai.
McCullum had felt ill and had a high temperature so was admitted to hospital where he spent two nights being treated for a stomach bug.
Manager Dave Currie said: “This is a useful reminder that of illness can occur on such trips despite the team taking precautions.
“Nathan couldn’t speak highly enough of the care he received in hospital and extremely grateful for the care he received.”
A decision will be made on his availability for the World Cup opener against Kenya will be made closer to the start of the match.
