Kyle Mills overtook Chis Harris as New Zealand’s second leading wicket taker in ODIs during the BLACKCAPS loss to the West Indies on Tuesday morning.
Mills collected figures of three for 40 in the match, but it was his second wicket which brought up a special moment for the New Zealand seamer.
After 38.2 overs Mills collected the edge of Darren Sammy and wicket-keeper Tom Latham did the rest. The dismissal of the West Indies captain saw his tally rise to 204, eclipsing Harris’s 203. 
It’s a tremendous achievement for the right-arm pace bowler who has been a dependable member of the BLACKCAPS since his debut in 2001.
His stats speak for themselves. Mills achieved the milestone in just 139 matches, 111 less than Harris. His economy rate of 4.69 and average of 25.99 are simply world-class and he also boasts a strike-rate of 33.2.
He now only trails Daniel Vettori who tops the chart with 274 scalps.
