New Zealand Cricket today announced that Kyle Mills and Daniel Vettori are likely to miss the final group stage match of the ICC Cricket World Cup against Sri Lanka.
Vettori has strained a ligament in his knee and Mills suffered a thigh injury with both players unlikely to recover in time for the match starting at 2.30pm (local time) on Friday 18 March.
New Zealand Cricket medical staff said that both players have make improvements and the quarter final is a realistic target.
It has been announced that Daryl Tuffey will join the team on Friday as bowling cover.
