McCullum tips Yuvraj as a player to watch at the ICC World Twenty20

On this week’s ICC Cricket World, New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Brendon McCullum talks about the hopes of his side ahead of its opening game against Sri Lanka on 30 April in Guyana.

The 28-year-old also comments on which players are the ones to watch in the tournament that starts in 15 days in Guyana.

“It will depend on how we do on the day – with Twenty20 cricket it really does depend on how any side does on any given day, whilst our group is probably not the hardest group going round there’s no direct entry into the next round,” says McCullum.

McCullum adds that there are a number of players from other teams he thinks could make a big impact. “I think Yuvraj Singh is a guy who will entertain a lot of audiences. Chris Gayle and Tillakaratne Dilshan are pretty amazing for West Indies and Sri Lanka,” he says.

“I think on the bowling front guys like Shaun Tait are ones to watch and there are any number of guys round the world who can do well in the West Indies.”

The show can be used in whole or part by radio stations that want cricket content, while the public can also download it straight from the ICC website.
