Have you ever been to the USA before?
I have only been there for a day. I caught an LA Clippers game while I was there, which was great. I don’t really know much about American sport though. It is one of the things I am interested in while we are there.
What are your expectations of this series against Sri Lanka?
I’m sure that both teams will be looking to promote cricket as best we can and I’m sure we will see some entertaining and competitive cricket.

Is the team excited about the series in Florida?
They are excited about playing somewhere as interesting as Florida, and taking the game to a new destination and fan-base. I know the boys are really looking forward to it. I guess we are breaking new ground and we are all keen to get there and check things out.
What do you know about the venue for the matches?
I don’t know anything about the venue, but stadiums in the US seem to be of a good quality.
What are you most looking forward to doing in the USA?
Firstly playing well. It is a place where you can do well and take your career to new level in terms of exposure.
I’m looking forward to going along to see the Florida Marlins. Baseball is such a huge sport in the U.S., it will be interesting to see how the game is structured compared to cricket. It is so professional and the massive fan base that all sport has in the States.
I’m definitely looking forward to playing a few games of golf when we get there!
