Ros Kember’s 60 helped State Auckland Hearts avenge their opening day defeat at the Basin Reserve.
State Wellington Blaze recorded a 30-run win on day one of the State League after dismissing the last five Auckland wickets for only one run.
This time, the knock from Kember (pictured), supported by 45 not out by Helen Watson, turned the game in the visitors’ favour.
Auckland claimed the points with a 21-run win after scoring 182 for seven.
Megan Wakefield struck 42 but Debbie Ramsey’s three for 24 and Watson’s two for 18 carried on the good work from the opening innings.
