Former BLACKCAPS batsman Craig Spearman has been ruled out of cricket for at least six weeks with a broken foot.
Spearman, now with Gloucestershire, sustained the injury in a One-Day victory over Jesse Ryder’s Ireland side last week.
The 34-year-old may miss the Gladiators’ entire Twenty20 Cup competition as well as a significant portion of the County Championship and One-Day competitions.
Gloucestershire, already without experienced England seamer Jon Lewis, will have their stocks replenished when Hamish Marshall rejoins the county next week.
