Injury update: Ian Butler replaces Trent Boult for ODI series

Ian Butler will replace Trent Boult in the BLACKCAPS side for the three One Day Internationals against England starting at Lord’s Friday night NZ time.

An MRI yesterday confirmed the initial diagnosis of a muscle tear in Boult’s right side which he suffered during the second Test at Headingley. BLACKCAPS physiotherapist Paul Close said he expected Boult to make a full recovery in six to eight weeks.

The other two ODIs are on Sunday in Southampton and on Wednesday in Nottingham.
