Peter Ingram struck a century as State Central Stags recorded a comfortable 46-run win over State Northern Knights at Hamilton.
Ingram made 104, putting on a third-wicket stand of 143 - a Seddon Park record - with Mathew Sinclair (79 not out) as they posted an impressive 291 for seven.
The Knights run chase never sustained the required run rate.
The hosts’ innings concluded at 245 all out in the 48th over after an impressive start.
Openers Alun Evans (33) and Anton Devic (35) put on 66 for the first wicket, and Peter McGlashan contributed 56.
Mark Orchard, a recent call-up to the 30-man preliminary BLACKCAPS squad for the World Cup, took three scored 39 after taking three wickets.
Medium-pacer Brendon Diamanti, with four for 58, and veteran off-spinner Campbell Furlong (3/44) were the Stags’ lead attackers.
