Batting first, New Zealand struggled through to 197 for nine with India cruising past the total in just 31.4 overs thanks to a a 145-run second wicket partnership between Abhinav Mukund (80) and Ajinkya Rahane (62).

New Zealand made a bright start with captain Jamie How’s 40 setting a decent platform but the rest of the top and middle order failed.
Brendon Diamanti did his best, hitting a run-a-ball 62 but lacked the supported needed to mount a big total.
New Zealand take on unbeaten South Africa on Wednesday in the last round of pool play and need a victory if they are to guarantee themselves a spot in Friday’s final.
