Bell led a strong first innings by the capital side, with half-centuries from veterans Michael Parlane (61), Chris Nevin (50) and Neal Parlane (66 not out).
The strong batting performance justified Michael Parlane’s decision to bat first, and could leave Northern seeking another big run chase after last week’s dramatic win over State Central Stags.
