The New Zealand Emerging Players have gone down by eight wickets in the opening Twenty20 match against the Australian Under 21 team at Blacktown Olympic Park in Sydney.
Batting first, New Zealand only managed 76 with the Australian only requiring 11 overs to complete the run chase.
Australian opener Sarah Coyte (32) and vice-captain Jess Cameron (21) guided their team to the comfortable victory.
Sophie Devine was the only batsman from the New Zealand team to make an impression with 28.
