BLACKCAP Martin Guptill has continued to excel in the English domestic league, having scored 132 for his County Cric
ket side Derbyshire yesterday.
His third ton of the season for Derbyshire came in a First-Class match against Glamorgan and helped to put his side in a dominant position.
Chasing Glamorgan’s first innings score of 236, Guptill and team-mate Wayne Madsen put on 170 for the second wicket. The Auckland Aces batsmen lead the way with his 132 coming off 189 balls, which included 20 fours and a six.
At the end of day two Derbyshire have full control of the match at 335 for five and are looking good to continue their great start to the First-Class season.
It seems that all New Zealand players are enjoying the English conditions, with fellow Kiwis Kane Williamson and Jeetan Patel also enjoying a rich vein of form in the competition.
