Grant Elliott is the new part-owner of the Twenty20 world record partnership for the 10th wicket.
Competing in the new Pakistan Super League ahead of rejoining the BLACKCAPS for the ICC World Twenty20 in India next month, Elliott and Zulfiqar Babar slammed 63 for the 10th wicket, helping the Quetta Gladiators recover from a dire 66/9 through to 129.
The stand broke the previous T20 world record partnership of 59, which had been shared by Zimbabwean Heath Streak and James Anyon for Warwickshire back in 2005.
Unfortunately for Elliott, it didn't stop Shahid Afridi's Peshawar Zalmi barreling to an eight-wicket win, but he and Zulfiqar had at least given their side a chance.
Elliott was the last man out for a 29-ball 40 (two fours and three sixes), Zulfiquar contributing 20 off 11 (one four and one six) and the pair scoring at a run rate of 11.81 together.
