Fraser restores winning Spirit

Janice Fraser posted 81 as State Northern Spirit returned to winning ways with a four-wicket win over State Wellington Blaze at Hamilton.

Fraser put on 94 with Anna Wilkins (25) for the fourth wicket to steer Northern past Wellington’s 161 inside 35 overs.

Earlier, Maree Hannay, Louise Milliken and Kate Pulford all took two Blaze wickets to dismiss the visitors in 43 overs, ending a promising start by openers Lucy Doolan (29) and Anna Smith (25).
