James Franklin smashed an unbeaten 41 and Ian Butler took three wickets as the Gloucestershire Gladiators easily beat the Surrey Lions by 10 wickets in the Friends Provident t20 competition.
Home team Surrey were bowled out for just 97 with Bulter making the most of the lively pitch conditions to remove opener Steve Davies for one, Younis Khan for 25 and take the final wicket of Jade Dernbach for 12 to finish his 3.1 over spell with three for eight.
Franklin chipped in with one wicket before opening the batting and blasting 41 off 29 balls. His opening partner, William Porterfield, top scored with a hard hit 47 off 31.
The Gladiators only needed 9.5 overs to complete the rout and take full points in the South Group clash.
Franklin also opened the batting and hit 42 in a losing effort against Glamorgan in their opening Twenty20 match.
