The Stephen Fleming coached Chennai Super Kings have beaten Bangalore Royal Challengers to lift the 2011 IPL title.
Victory was set up by a mammoth opening stand of 159 between Murali Vijay (95) and Michael Hussey (63) as the defending champs made 205 for five.
Bangalore, captained by Daniel Vettori, never threatened ending the match on 147 for eight.
Vettori, the only BLACKCAP to feature in the final, took none for 34 – figures that didn’t reflect the IPL season the former New Zealand skipper had.
