Northern Brave will host Saturday's Grand Final in Hamilton.

Finals time in Dream11 Super Smash

Northern Brave will host this season's 2022 Dream11 Grand Finals in Hamilton this Saturday, while the Otago Sparks, Auckland Hearts, Wellington Firebirds and Canterbury Kings will all convene in Dunedin this Thursday for the sudden-death Elimination Final shootouts.

Women's top qualifier the Wellington Blaze - home of WHITE FERNS stars Sophie Devine, Melie Kerr, Leigh Kasperek, Maddy Green and Jess Kerr, to name but a few, today again staked their reputation as one of the strongest Domestic women's teams in the world as they completed a perfect 10 out of 10 undefeated regular season for the second time in three years.

The Blaze was gutted to miss out on a fourth consecutive Dream11 Super Smash crown last season - missing a shot at the Grand Final last summer, but they are back big-time this season, and there will be a guaranteed new champion in the women's arena after defending champions the Canterbury Magicians were ousted yesterday, with the Auckland Hearts claiming the last spot by a whisker.

Qualifying second on the women's ladder means that Suzie Bates's strong Otago Sparks will host the Elimination Finals with the women's eliminator at 4.10pm this Thursday in Dunedin, and the men's Elimination Final between the Canterbury Kings and Wellington Firebirds preceding them at noon, at the same venue.

There are no second chances for the beaten side while the winner will win a trip to Hamilton to meet the Wellington Blaze and the Northern Brave men at Seddon on Saturday, where the men's showcase will play out under lights from 6.50pm and the women's Final from 3pm that afternoon.

Laden with BLACKCAPS stars, Northern Brave have headed into their big dance with eight victories in a row, having dropped only one game (against the Otago Volts) and taking a last-over victory today against potential Grand Finalists the Wellington Firebirds in the final bout of the regular season.

All matches will be livestreamed and on demand at Spark Sport.
