The final round of Twenty20 matches at the Emerging Players Tournament in Brisbane were abandoned due to rain.
New Zealand A were due to play unbeaten India and need a win to secure a spot in the final after they beat South Africa by 21 runs in round won and lost to the Australian Institute of Sport XI by eight wickets in their second match.
The Australian Institute of Sport XI will play India in Thursday’s final after finishing with the same win/loss record as New Zealand but with a higher net run rate.
The 50-over round starts on Saturday with New Zealand taking on hosts AIS.
