New Zealand Cricket congratulates Chris Martin on breaking the 200-wicket barrier in Test cricket.
Martin made his Test debut against South Africa in 2000 and is just the fourth New Zealander to take 200 wickets in Test cricket joining the elite group of Sir Richard Hadlee, Daniel Vettori and Chris Cairns.
The talismanic strike bowlers greatest performance came against South Africa at Eden Park in 2004 where he put in a man-of-the-match 11 for 180 to help the BLACKCAPS to a nine wicket win.
The 36 year-old achieved the milestone late on day three of the Test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo when he induced a false stroke from Kyle Jarvis was caught by Ross Taylor.
Chief Executive Justin Vaughan said: “It is a wonderful feat to reach 200 wickets and I know cricket fans everywhere will celebrate this milestone as a worthy achievement by a talented bowler."
